![]() The 12th Arab Games 2011 take place from December 9th to 23, 2011 in Doha (Qatar). The seventh round of the Team Championship was held on 20th of December. In men competition the leader of Egyptian team Ahmet Adly lost his game but that result didnтЂ©t make any changes тЂЈ Egypt won the match against Algeria with 2.5:1.5 score. Qatar was stronger in the match against Iraqi team as Mohamad Al-Modiahki, Mohammed Al-Sayed and Hamad Al-Tamimi defeated their opponents. The results in the last boards were decisive in the match Morocco-Sudan which finished on favour of the team from Morocco. Two rounds to go Egypt leads with 11 points 3 points ahead of Qatar which placed second. The victory in the eighth round gives Egypt golden medal in the championship before the last round. The third place in the table occupied by the Moroccan team with 9 points. In women section Algeria won the match against Morocco with 3.5:0.5 score and keeps leading in the tournament. Jordan won a very intense match against Qatar and went to the second place while Qatar almost lost their chances to fight for the medals. Egypt defeated Libya and placed third in the ranking. Iraq won against Emirates with unpredictable 4:0 score and appeared on the fourth place.
