Arab games: round 4 report Print

The 12th Arab Games 2011 take place from December 9th to 23, 2011 in Doha (Qatar). The fourth round of the Team Championship was held on 16th of December. In men tournament Egypt won the match against Morocco and replaced Moroccan team on the first stage. Egyptian players Ahmet Adly, Bassem Amin and Mohamed Ezat brought the victory to their team by winning their games. Emirates defeated the team from Jordan with 2.5:1.5 score while Algeria made draw with Iraq 2:2. As a result Emirates improved their position and shares the second place together with the team from Morocco. The hosts of the event managed to score 8 out 8 points as both men and women teams won their matches with absolute result. In women section Algeria won the match against Iraq and continues leading in the competition. Egypt defeated Palestinian team with 4:0 score while Jordan was stronger in the match against Emirates (3.5:0.5).  Iraq and Qatar share the second place 3 points behind of Algeria.
