Filipino Rocky Pabalan won the Za'franeh Market Rapid Chess Tournament last December 10th in Al Ain, UAE. The tournament was part of the Al Ain Chess Club promotion called Chess Campaign for Society.
A number of Rapid and Blitz tournaments are scheduled this month for various sectors of society including presentations about chess, new technologies, chess in cinema, simultaneous exhibition, tournaments for teachers, housewives, tournaments in the airport, bus station, cafes and malls, Arbiters Seminars, Instructors Course, and an International Companies Chess Tournament.
