Gupta Bhaskar (IND) followed in Anand’s footsteps at Budapest First Saturday November tournament Print

A tour to Hungary brought great success to a little boy (11) of India. Gupta Bhaskar first won 65.4 rating points at Kecskemet and followed it by another outstanding performance in Budapest sacking 72.6 FIDE-rating points. 138 points gain in a single month is so extraordinary that we my risk saying that the young man follows in Anand’s footsteps.

There were no norms hit in the GM section this time. GM Czebe Attila (HUN) showed up his best form winning the tournament with two whole points ahead.

The FM-A section brought limited number of draws since all players were fighting determined for victory only. The Asian little boys had heavy battles against the experienced Hungarian rivals. Besides Gupta Bhaskar (IND),  Lee Kai Jie Edward (SIN) who visited Budapest for the second time was also very successful proving a great progress since last time here.
