IM Nikolay Noritsyn won the 2011 edition of the strong Quebec Open. In the presence of 8 GMs and 19 titled players, IM Noritsyn grabbed the first position without losing a single game. He finished with a total of 7,0/9, half a point ahead of the Cuban GM Walter Arencibia Rodriguez and a full point ahead of 2009 Quebec Chess Champion GM Anton Kovalyov.
The Canadian top seeded player GM Bator Sambuev finished fourth, while the favorites for this year's edition GM Rozentalis and GM Bojkov ended up fifth and sixth.
