Three teams, Tehran, Astana and Shi Jiazhuang remain tied for the lead with perfect match points each after three rounds of the Asian Cities Tean Championship for the Dubai Cup in Jakarta, Indonesia. Tehran (IRI) in photo above, beat Singapore (SIN), Yangon (MYA) and Abu Dhabi (UAE) in the first three rounds.
Organizing Committee Chairman GM and Senator Utut Adianto welcomes the teams before the start of the first round, together with Asian Chess Federation Deputy President Casto Abundo.
The beautiful well-lit hall above is adorned with flags of participating countries. The playing hall is conveniently in the same complex as the official hotel, a necessary proximity in the bustling traffice of Jakarta.
The Shi Jiazhuang (CHN) team above, beat Mashad (IRI) above, Bangalore (IND) and Jakarta (INA) in the first 3 rounds.
Astana (KAZ) beat Penang (MAS), Baghdad (IRQ) and Palembang (INA) in the first three rounds.
