The 3rd "Hehang Cup" China Chess Individual Tournament is taking place at Xinghua, Jiangsu, province in China. 24 best chess players including top seeds such as GM Wang Yue (Elo.2734), GM Bu Xiangzhi (Elo.2677), GM Ni Hua (Elo.2646) and the youngest women world champion ever, a well-known superstar GM Hou Yifan (Elo.2602) are participating in this tournament.

Xinghua is a small prestigious town not only because for being a home of current women world champion Hou Yifan, but also for holding Chinese top level individual tournament for three years already. Local government leaders made great efforts to organize chess activity and training classes in primary schools. Two women grandmasters, eight national champions and over 10,000 playing youngsters live here. Besides, many talented chess players are trained for Chinese Chess National Team.

Twelve players of each group will play eleven double round-robin games. Time control is 90 minutes for each player plus 30 seconds per move. The competition will be held from 30 March to 11 April started each day at 3:00 PM CCT.
