IM Khamrakulov Dhzurabek won Brunei 2011 IM Tournament 1 Print

10 players from 4 countries, 2 from Vietnam, 2 from Philippines, 2 from Uzbekistan and 4 from Brunei participate in the Brunei 2011 International Master Tournament 1 which ended on Thursday 3rd March.
IM Khamrakulov Dzhurabek from Uzbekistan won the tournament with 6.5 points after losing his 1st round game against IM Oliver Barbosa.
GM Nguyen Anh Dung, IM Oliver Barbosa, Jahongir Vakhidov and Brunei promising player FIDE Master Yee Soon Wei with 6 points share 2nd to 5th place.
FM Yee Soon Wei and Jahongir Vakhidov attained their International Master norms.
IM Nguyen Van Huy with 5.5 points came 6th place and IM Yap Kim Steven with 5 points placed 7th. The tournament is used for the organizer (Brunei Chess Federation) to prepare their players in the upcoming SEA Games 2011.
