The 2011 Poland Chess Championship is being played from 12th to 20th February in the Hotel Novotel Centrum in Warsaw. 22 players participate in the 9-round Swiss event.

The defending champion GM Mateusz Bartel is leading the race after defeating the 2008 champion Bartosz Soćko in round seven. Bartel has 5.5 points, half a point more than the experienced GM Pawel Jaracz and the new star GM Darius Swiercz.
