GM Gonda Laszlo (HUN) tied with GM Ilincic Zlatko (SRB) took the top two places in the extraordinarily tough GM tournament. The winner lost while the last player could win Rating-points. Any title norms could have been hard to get with GM-s playing so well. Final Ranking of First Saturday GM Feb 2011

The IM Section was also a tough competition bringing success to FM Szablowski Pawel (POL) who achieved IM norm after R9 with TPR 2466 and all requirements met.
Szablowski, Pawel (POL)
WIM Bhakti Kulkarni (IND) came to Budapest as a last stop of her four legs European tour and she named First Saturday Tournament the hardest of all.

There were four more groups with 41 players involved from all over the world for FIDE-Ratings. The most interesting of these was the lower rated Development Group the battle of the youngest and the oldest generations.
Csetneki Mark (HUN) the youngest boy (9) won convincingly stumbling only once. He defeated experienced opponents some of them seven decades older than him.
The next First Saturday events at 5-15th March will also take place at MEDOSZ Hotel Budapest which gives a pleasant venue for chess hopefully for a long term run.
Please enjoy watching a short video about the tournament made by Szabo Miklos local chess fan. You find it at: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F6ya7cJnpvM
Just push CTRL and click on the address given and you immediately get it.
More info with all games, a lot of photos and archives available at: www.firstsaturday.hu
