The 2011 Azerbaijan Chess Championship for men was played from 21st to 31st January. Twelve participants of average elo 2487 competed in the round robin tournament. Chief arbiter was IA Namiq Ismayilov.

Second seed Grandmaster Nidjat Mamedov claimed the title by collecting 8 points, and finishing a full point clear of the nearest follower GM Rufat Bagirov.
