Vugar Gashimov won the 53rd edition of the traditional tournament Reggio Emilia. He finished on top with 6 points, the same score as Vallejo Pons, but better tiebreak.


Third place is for Vassily Ivanchuk, who shared the position with Sergei Movsesian and the Tata Steel participant David Navara. The local hero Fabiano Caruana finished with a 50% score sharing 6th position.
