64 Squares Rating Tournament in Sri Lanka Print

64squaresOn behalf of the Chess Federation of Sri Lanka, the 64 Squares International Chess Academy is organizing The 64Squares Chess Challenge 2011, an Open International Rating Chess Championship with a total prize fund of nearly Rs.350,000 /=. Download regulations.

To make the event more competitive and provide unrated players more opportunity to get a rating this will be a 10 round Open.

Another awards for some outstanding performances...this will be selected by the organizing committee.

 

All participants will be provided with certificates.

 

Accommodation : All players with more than 2300 ELO rating will be provided accommodation with three meals. All those who needs A/C Accommodation has to pay an extra fee of 10 $ per night.

 
Local outstation players can be accommodated with a nominal charge.

Players having a rating of above 2200 are free.

Rating category 2100 - 2200 :   Rs. 500/=

Rating category 2000 to 2100: Rs. 1,000/=

Rating category 1800 to 2000 : Rs. 2,500/=

Rating category 1600 to 1800 : Rs. 3,000/=

Rating category less than 1600 : Rs. 3,500/=

Unrated players : Rs. 4,500/=

Foreign Players:-

 

All players having a rating of above 2300 are free.

Rating category 2200 - 2300 :   Rs. 1000/=

Rating category 2100 to 2200: Rs. 1,500/=

Rating category 2000 to 2100 : Rs. 2,000/=

Rating category 1800 to 2000 : Rs. 3,000/=

Rating category 1600 to 1800 : Rs. 4,000/=

Rating category less than 1600 : Rs. 4,500/=

Unrated players : Rs. 5,000/=

 

64 Squares International Chess Academy members has a Rs.1000/= Discount on their Entry Fee.(Only who currently having memberships)

 

All amounts are in Sri Lankan Rupees.

Late fee of Rs. 1000/= will be charged for the entries received after 10th of Jan 2011. This applies for rated players, whom can do registration even via Email, as well.

 

All the foreign players will be provided free transport facilities from Airport to Hotel and Hotel to Airport
