The 23rd Belgrade International Open Championship is taking place from 24th November to 2nd December in Obrenovac, near Belgrade. The Championship will be played in 9 rounds according to the FIDE Swiss System. 205 players from 12 federations are participating, among them is an impressive number of 20 Grandmasters and 11 International Masters.

IM Petar Drenchev from Bulgaria took over the lead after an important round six victory. He is currently holding 5.5 points, half a point ahead of the group of 10 followers. For more information visit the official website.
