In the men's division, China beat the Philippines 3.5 to 0.5 on wins on boards 2 to 4 by GMs Wang Hao, Zhou Jianchao and Ni Hua at the expense of GMs John Paul gomez, Darwin Laylo and Eugene Torre. Filipino GM Wesley So prevented a shutout by holding GM Wang Yue to a draw.

 
 

In the match for the bronze medal, India beat Iran by a similar score 3.5-0.5. The top board metch between Iran champion Ehsan Ghaem Maghami and P. Harikrishna ended in a quick draw byi repetition. GM Krishnan Sasikiran got first blood, beating GM Elshan Moradiabadi. GM Adhiban followed with a beautiful smothered mate of IM Golizadeh Asghar. GM Ganguly Surya Shekhar completed the rout with a win over GM toufighi Homayoon.

The Chinese women overcame stiff resistance from Uzbekistan before winning 2.5 to 1.5. WIM Sabirova Olga upset WGM Ju Wenjun early in the round. However, Hou Yifan evened the score against WIM Nafisa Muminova. GM Zhao Xue followed suit with a win over WIM Yulduz Hamrakulova. It was left up to WGM Huan Qian to clinch the win by holding WGM Huang Qian to a draw.

 

For the Bronze Medal, the women's match between Vietnam and India had to go to the sudden death tie break match after both the teams score ended with 2 to 2 at the end of standard time control. The sudden death had to be introduced, which was played on three boards with 6 minutes for white & 5 minutes for black. Vietnam beat India 2-1 to win the Bronze medal.
