Russian Women Chess Championship Print

The Super Final of the Russian Women Chess Championship is taking place on 16-27th November in Moscow. It is a round robin event with 12 participants and a prize fund close to 50 000 USD. 11 rounds will be played with time control 90 minutes for the first 40 moves, and 30 minutes to the end, with 30 seconds increment starting at move 1. Rounds are played daily as the 22nd is rest day.

The 9th-seeded Nazi Paikidze is leading the race with 4.5 points after six rounds. Nadezhda Kosintseva and Natalija Pogonina are following close behind, while the World Champion Alexandra Kosteniuk and top rated Tatiana Kosintseva are on 50% score.
