IM Groups
Nobody could achieve any norms in these sections this month because the senior Hungarian IM-s put up very strong performances.
In the IM-B section the only woman participant Papp Petra (HUN) was close to WGM norm for a long time but could not handle the very experienced opponents at the end. She played the most interesting and exciting game against IM Szalanczy Emil.

There was an FM group too in which as usual young talents had great battles against adults fighting hard for FIDE-Rating points. Unfortunately some players quit the tournament without giving serious reason or giving no explanation at all. Therefore we are going to propose FIDE officially that such games should count for rating (but not for titles) by the decision of the arbiter.

All games, photos and lots of information are available at www.firstsaturday.hu

Next First Saturday events are scheduled at 2-13th October 2010.
