The fourth Asian Dragons Invitational Tournament, organized by Chinese Taipei Chess association, was held at the prestigious National Taiwan University campus in Taipei from 21 to 28 August 2010.
This 12-player round-robin event has two categories – an Open category for players rated 2100 and below, and a U-16 category for players under 16 years of age – this year we are glad to see that six countries have participated instead of five as in the previous years. The countries involved this year are Singapore, Macau, South Korea, Hong Kong, Japan and surely the host team Chinese Taipei. It has been a pleasure for Chinese Taipei Chess Association this year to have the company of FIDE General Secretary Mr. Ignatius Leong, who gave full assistance in making this tournament smooth and successful. After many years of successful events, Chinese Taipei Chess Association is looking forward to start from the next year an even bigger event or make it an Open Tournament so that many other countries would be able to participate in this international tournament held in Taipei.
