Halkidiki ID 2The 2010 Greek Youth Chess Championships are taking place from 26th June to 2nd July in Kalithea, Halkidiki. Around 400 juniors are playing under excellent conditions in the Hotel Athos Palace, which was also the host of the 2008 European Club Cup and 80th FIDE Congress.

The Greek Youth Chess Championships is organized by the Greek Chess Federation and S.A.TH. Galaxias chess club.

The time control is 90 minutes for the first 40 moves and 30 minutes to the end of the game and 30 seconds addition per move. Tiebreak is decided by direct result, the sum of progressive scores, and Bucholz.
