Master Open VoronezhMaster Open Voronezh 2010 took place from 12th to 21st June in Voronezh, Russia. 103 players from nine federations participated, among them 30 Grandmasters, forming an incredibly strong field of average 2383 FIDE elo.
The 20-years old Russian Grandmaster Aleksandr Rakhmanov claimed the winner's trophy after edging fellow GM Denis Khismatullin on better tiebreak. This is Rakhmanov's second consecutive triumph in Voronezh.

Pula Open Chess TournamentThe 24th Pula Open chess tournament took place on 19-26th June at the hotel "Histria", under management of the Croatian Chess Federation and local Chess Club "Pula". The competition was held over nine rounds of Swiss system and with time control of 90 min + 30 sec increment. Former World Champion Boris Spassky was the special guest of the tournament.
The event saw a massive turnout as 287 players from 23 countries signed to participate. Grandmasters Robert Zelcic, Ognjen Jovanic and Sinisa Drazic shared the first place with 7.5 points each, but the trophy went to Zelcic who had the best tiebreak score.

official websiteInternational Chess Festival EforieCS Eforie Siciliana, SCM Bucharest, Apa Nova Bucharest and ACS Central Chess Club Bucharest, together with the County Sports Hall of Constanta and Authority Eforie organized the International Chess Festival Eforie 2010, which took place on 17-27th June in Eforie-Nord, on the Black Sea coastline.
The tournament was played with Swiss pairings and over 11 rounds. An impressive number of 180 players took participation.

Maxim Turov and Alexei Gavrilov shared the first place with 8.5 points each. Maxim Turov, who also won the last year's Festival, was declared winner on best tiebreak score.
More informationAbierto Internacional de Ajedrez Carlos IThe 2nd Abierto Internacional de Ajedrez Carlos I was held from 19th to 27th June in Sanxenxo (Pontevedra), the most exclusive beach resort in Galicia, Spain. 93 players from 13 federations took part in the event, among them Grandmasters Jesus De La Villa Garcia, Jorge Cori and WGM Deysi Cori, Arthur Kogan and last year winner Dragan Paunovic.
Eleven players shared the first place with 6.5 points each, GM Arthur Kogan is the winner on superior additional criteria.
