Anand Feted at Asian Juniors/Girls Awards Print

anandfeted World Champion Viswanathan Anand was feted by officials from FIDE, the Asian and Indian Chess Federations concurrent with the closing ceremonies of the Asian Juniors and Girls Championships
in Chennai, India.

IM Shyam Sundar of India won the Asian Juniors by tie break over compatriot IM Vidit Santosh Gujrathi. FM Nitin S of India won the bronze. In the Asian Girls, champion WFM Vo Thi Kim Phung of Vietnam prevailed in the tie break over runner-up WFM Nakhbayeva Guliskhan of Kazakhstan.
