2010 China National Individual Tournament (Divison A) already processed over a half in Xinghua, Jiangsu province, China on May 29. After first 6 rounds, GM BuXiangzhi and Zhou Jianchao took the lead in men's group with 4.5 points, while WGM Huang Qian and Ju Wenjun on the top of women's group with 5 points. Today the most eye-catching battle happens between current leader,GM Zhou Jianchao (2652) and Bu Xiangzhi (2681), both genius players want to take down the other and solo leading the group. Two men's strategy preparation lasts for whole morning. Though Zhou catchs decent positive position in the middle, Bu counterstrikes and this fierce Slav Defense battle turns a draw after 33 moves. Risen-Champion player, GM Ni Hua (2667) behaves pretty good in recent days and he takes down opponent Ji dan within only 27 moves. Now he listed third in Men's group. No.1 hot-shot, GM Wang Hao (2722) performs not so good in this tournament up to now. Though he keeps tiny advantage to Zhang Ziyang in today's game, that don't last to final, and the game ends up as a draw. 'Super girl' GM Hou Yifan (2589) practicing her skill in men's group this time, and the victory road looks extremely tough since she lost to GM Li Shilong (2514), scored only 2 of 6 and listing in No.9 of 12 now. ![]() GM Hou Yifan striving in men's group WGM Ju Wenjun (2500) and Huang Qian (2437) sharpened their skills within recent months, and while Hou Yifan is struggling and surrounded by all top male players, they both took another triumph today, and reaching 5 points of 6, dominating the whole female group. Another veteran player, WGM Wang Yu grabbing the third place with 3.5 points. The tournament will stop for a break day on May 30.
