The 2010 China Chess Championships is taking place from 24th May to 4th June 2010 in Xinghua, Jiangsu Province. Both competitions are 12-player round-robins, with 11 rounds of play and time control of 90min+30sec per move. Grandmasters Zhou Jianchao and Bu Xiangzhi are holding the lead in men's championship, each sporting 4.5 points, half a point ahead of the opposition. Top rated Hao Wang and last year champion Ding Liren are on 50% score. Woman Grandmasters Huang Qian and Ju Wenjun are engaged in a firce battle for the women championship.
