The Hungarian women chess championship 2010 was held on 15-23rd May in the city of Nagykanizsa. The local team of Nagykanizsa is the Hungarian club champion of this year, and even the World Champion Vishy Anand played one game for the team in the league.

The top-seeded WGM Anna Rudolf convincingly won the championship by collecting 7.5 points from nine games. She started with a loss in the first round, but then scored seven consecutive wins, before drawing the final game. This is Rudolf's second national title, as she also won the 2008 Hungary championship.

WIM Lili Toth was co-leader in round seven, but then he tripped and lost last two games. It is interesting to note that out of 45 games, white pieces won 14, black won 21(!), and only 10 finished in draw.
