bulgariaThe 74th Bulgarian individual chess championship for men was held on 7-17th April 2010 in Kyustendil. The event was with 14 players and played according to the round-robin system. Average rating of the field is 2497, top-seeded was legendary GM Kiril Georgiev.

GM Boris Chatalbashev took an early lead and with a series of wins declined the attacks of GM Georgiev, who was following close behind. In the end, Chatlbashev collected 10.5 points and convincingly earned the title of the Bulgarian chess champion.
