As usual our monthly held chess tournament started, on April the 3rd with 34 participants from 10 countries. (GER, VIE, GRE, LUX, USA, ENG, SLO, ITA, HUN, POL)
GM group has 6 players with an average of 2481 (Cat: 10) so 7 points are recquired to achive GM-norm and 5 points for IM-norm.

We welcome the two high-rated german grandmasters (Brindrich, Falco and Baramidze, David) to play first time at the tournament. We also greet Iweta, Rajlich from Poland who has already had great achivements here.
IM group started with 11 players, the average is 2243, IM-norm can be reached from 8.5 points.
FM "A" group has 10 registered players (average 2089). Nikola, Hocevar from Maribor, Slovenia playes in that group and by being 81 years old he is the oldest participant at our event.

FM "B" is the smaller group with 6 players. Two two youngest chessplayers are here. They are only 8 (Csetneki, Mark and Simonyi, Dora) and by this fact the age difference between the youngest and oldest players is 73 years!!!
