 The 4th International tournament dedicated to the memory of GM Georgi Agzamov (1954-1986) is taking place from 22nd March to 1st April in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. 130 players are taking participation, among them are 20 Grandmasters. Total prize fund is $20.000 USD.
Heading into the final ninth round, Grandmasters Maxim Turov (Russia), Rinat Jumabayev (Kazakhstan) and world junior vice-champion Sergei Zhigalko (Belarus) are sharing the first place with 6.5 points each. The winner will most likely be decided after the games Sergei Zhigalko (BLR 2648) - Maxim Turov (RUS 2609) and Mikheil Mchedlishvili (GEO 2634) - Rinat Jumabayev (KAZ 2542).
