The 42nd International Women Chess Tournament was held on 3-11th March in Belgrade. One of the longest running chess tournaments in the world, established back in 1965, is celebrating 8th March - International Women's Day.

The 10-player tournament was played as round robin over nine rounds. Eventually, WGM Margarita Vojska from Bulgaria and Serbian junior champion WFM Jovana Erić shared the first place with 6.5 points each, but Erić grabbed the trophy on better additional criteria.

Last year winner WGM Ana Benderać shared the third, together with the top-seeded WGM Tatjana Grabuzova. Veteran WIM Marija Petrović was in fighting mode, signing only one draw, and finished with 50% score.
