The 2009 Ciudad de Pamplona chess tournament is entering its final stage. GM Julio Granda Zuniga had a dream start with 4 points out of 4 games, but later he slows down and after seven rounds GM Kiril Georgiev catches on the shared first place. Young talents Georg Meier and Viktor Laznicka are only half a point behind.
