The Bahamas – successful Mind Sports Games 2009 Print

The Bahamas Mind Sports Games was officially opened by Permanent Secretary of The Ministry of Sports, Mr. Archie Nairn on Saturday 15th August, 2009. Mr. Nairn complimented the three organizations (Bridge, Checkers and Chess) on successfully organizing the first Mind Games in the Bahamas and noted that Bridge, Checkers and Chess can be used to assist with the development of Bahamians. He also urged the organizers to not only focus on New Providence Island but also to develop and promote their sports on less populated islands.
