First Saturday Budapest GM-IM-FM chess tournaments, 4th-15th of April 2009 |

We have finished our tournaments on the 15th of April in the Hungarian Chess Federation tournament halls, Falk Miksa Str.10, the nearest metro station is Kossuth square (red line).
We had 45 players here out of 15 countries.
In the GM section the 19 year GER player Axel HEINZ won with 6.5 points out of 9 games, with 2584 ELO-performance, reached an IM norm. His photo is below.
In the IM section the USA player Erik KISLIK reached his 1st IM-norm and the British Meri GRIGORYAN reached her 1st WIM norm.
The next First Saturday events will be from 2nd until 14th of May here in Budapest.
