With a prize fund of 400,000 Baht (about US$12,000), more than double that of previous years, and a top prize of approximately € 2,000 Euros, the tournament is sure to attract even more high-ranked players than before. Players from 34 countries have already registered, and more than 10 Grandmasters including a back-in-form Nigel Short (ELO 2663).
