The Botswana Chess Federaton is pleased to announce the Botswana Independence Open Chess Championship to be held in Gaborone, Botswana from 27 September to 1 October 2008. Sponsored by Archein Pte Ltd, the tournament boasts a 30,000 Pula Prize Fund (1 Pula = approximately USD 0.146) and is both a wonderful warm up for European and African teams on the way to the 1st World Mind Sports Games in Beijing, China from 3 to 18 October 2008 and for a great Safari experience!
