OPEN MLADÁ BOLESLAV 2008

The mediating sport agency CAISSA Mladá Boleslav in charge of the organisation of the 6th international chess festival.
As part of the international chess festival, closed GM and IM tournaments, an international FIDE open, a national open, the Sokol organization championship in active chess will take place. This programme applies to foreign participants in the tournament.

System:	Swiss system of 9 rounds
Game Tempo:	Tournament A, B, C - 2x1,5 hrs. + 30 s/move Tournament D - 2x1,5 hrs./30 moves + 1hr. KO
Application deadline:	July 10, 2008 (preferably via e-mail)
Refreshment :	individual basis, at the Culture Center or nearby restaurants
Criteria used for ranking:	Tournament A+B - 1.Points, 2.S-B, 3.Lot Tournament C+D - 1.Points, 2.Buchholz, 3.Middle Bucholz, 4.Lot

Prize funding:
42 000+ CZK 1st prize: 8, 000 CZK minimum, 8 financial and 8 non-financial prizes special prizes for women, juniors up to 16 years of age, players with rating lower than 2000, etc.

D) Tournament: OPEN Mladá Boleslav B (National Open)

Starting fee:

players with ELO FIDE	up to 1600...	...20 EURO
	up to 2000...	...16 EURO
	up to 2200...	...12 EURO
	2200 and more	free

Prize funding:
more than 3, 000 CZK 1st prize 1, 000 CZK at least 8 financial and non-financial prizes, special prizes for women, juniors up to 16 years of age, players with rating lower than 1600, etc.

Discounts and surcharges for both tournaments:

women, seniors (1948 and older) and juniors (1992 and younger)	100 CZK discount
8 and more players on a single application, home team members	100 CZK discount
players registered after 10.7.2008	200 CZK surcharge

Prizes in both tournaments shall not be divided.
