The Singapore Chess Federation, in conjunction with the 4th World Individual Schools Championship to be held in Singapore from 22-31 July 2008, will also organise the SCF International Open Tournament 2008.

3. Time Control and Format
Swiss System; FIDE-rated and titled; Rate of play will be 90 minutes for the whole game with 30 seconds increment for every move starting from the first move.
4. Prize Fund : US$ 7,500
1st US$ 2,000; 2nd US$ 1,500; 3rd US$ 1,000; 4th US$ 800; 5th US$ 600; 6th US$400; 7th to 12th US$200 each.
5. Entry Fees to be payable by 15th June 2008 ; thereafter shall be surcharged US$ 50 depending on availability of space.
Rating >2400 free; >2200 US$ 50; >2000 US$ 100; >1800 US$ 150; below 1801 US$ 200.
6. Hotel Bookings:
Players for the Open Tournament are not obliged to stay at the Official Hotels:
However proper booking must be done well in advance and based on availability.
We will not accept any booking on arrival.
