 Zhao Xue of China (see photo) beat Indian wondergirl D. Harika to tally 10 out of 13 rounds, and win the World Girls Championship with a better tie break score over defending champion Koneru Humpy of India. Zhao had a higher sum of opponents` ratings signifying that she faced a stronger field. Koneru outplayed French Sophie Millet in the last round.
