The 110th New Zealand Chess Championship was played January 2nd to 10th in Wanganui. The event was won jointly by Australians IM Alex Wohl and FM Tim Reilly with 8/11. The title of NZ Champion was retained by IM Anthony Ker (see photo), who finished with 7.5/11 in sole third place.
