New President of Iran Chess Federation |

 Dr. Ali Asghar GHOLAMREZAIE was recently elected the new president of the I.R.Iran Chess Federation. He won the elections over twelve other candidates, garnering more than 50% of the votes in the first ballot on 21st June 2003. In Iran every four years the General Committee of chess which includes 43 persons must elect the new president. The previous president Mr. Mohd. Kambouzia, resigned four months ago. He had been very successful in developing chess in Iran and built the chess federation building and hotel.
