100 talented chess players from 15 countries are participating in the Second Dubai Open Junior Chess Championship held from 23-31 July 2003 at Dubai Chess and Culture club. The highest rated player of the event is Falko Bendrich rated 2334 from Germany. This is the strongest championship in Asia. Players from Azerbaijan, Hungary, Germany, Iraq, Iran, India, Philippines, Jordan, Syria, Bahrain, Qatar and Palestine have arrived in strength to participate in this prestigious championship. 50 players from UAE contingent are led by National champions Ahmed ishaq , Ibrahim Khouri and saeed ishaq will enhance their skills and gain much needed match practice.
