Qatar Dominates Gulf Cooperation Council Championship in Kuwait Print

Led by GM Mohamad Al-Modiahki, Qatar won the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Chess Team Championship organized by the Kuwait Chess Federation 2 to 11 December 2005 in Al-Kuwait Kallithea. Qatar scored 22.5 points in the double round robin among four teams. The United Arab Emirates finished second with 13 points followed by Bahrain with 9.5 points and host Kuwait with 3 points. for the crosstable.
