 The 3rd European Internet Championship is taking place 9 to 22 January 2006 organized by the European Chess Union and ChessBase. The participants will compete for EUR 6000 in prize money. The blitz tournament is divided into four preliminaries, a candidates tournament and the final. All preliminaries, the candidates tournament and the final will be played on the Playchess.com server.
