FIDE President Kirsan Ilyumzhinov opened the Asian Youth Championship 2006 in Teheran, Iran. The Chess Federation of the Islamic Republic of Iran is organizing the event for the Open and Girls Divisions under-8, 10, 12 and 14 years of age from 23rd June to 1st July 2006 in Teheran. India, Vietnam, Kazakhstan, Kyrgizstan, Mongolia, Tajikistan, UAE, Qatar, Syria and Iran are participating in this developmental event. Visit the official site. Read more.
