GM Vugar Gashimov of Azerbaijan won the 16th Abu Dhabi International Chess Festival in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, winning the tie break over GM Ashot Anastasian of Armenia. A strong field of 49 titled players including 20 GMs competed in the Masters. A total of 213 players from 23 countries saw action 12-21 August in the Masters, Open, Youth Under-16, Children`s and Blitz tournaments with $34,200 at stake in cash prizes. Visit the official site.
