 World University Chess Championship is taking place in Lagos, Nigeria from 28 August to 4 September 2006. It is organized for the 9th time, the previous edition of the Championship was organized in Istanbul, Turkey in 2002. The Championship is organized in accordance with the FIDE regulations.
