 The Russian Women`s Championship Superfinal was held from November 29 to December 12 in the town of Gorodets (Nizhegorodskaya oblast region). In the absence of the 2005 Russian Champion Alexandra Kosteniuk, WGM Ekaterina Korbut managed to win this prestigious event scoring 8 points in a twelve player round robin. Elena Tairova is second and Tatiana Kosintseva is third with 7.5 points.View the Final standings.
