 National Chess Federation of the Philippines (NCFP) secretary-general Mayor Abraham `Bambol` Tolentino inducts the officers of the newly-formed Chess Journalists Association of the Philippines (CJAP), headed by Ed Andaya of People`s Tonight, at the National Press Club in Manila last Feb. 12, 2007. NCFP president and Surigao del Sur Rep. Prospero Pichay delivered the inspirational remarks during the induction.

The other CJAP officers are Roy Luarca of Philippine Inquirer and Dante Navarro of Philippine Star, vice-presidents; Arman Armero of Manila Standard-Today, secretary; Joey Villar of Philippine Star, treasurer; Dani Simon of Police Files, auditor; Noli Cruz of Manila Bulletin/Tempo and Christine Moncada of Malaya, PROs; and Orlando Primo of Dyaryong Orig and Marlon Bernardino of Inquirer/Bandera, business managers.
Advisers of the associaiton are Gus Villanueva of the Journal Group of Publications and Manny Benitez of Chess Weekender.
