Veselin Topalov of Bulgaria wins the M-Tel Masters with 5.5 points, taking the solo lead in teh final round. The 3rd M-Tel Masters started on May 9 in Sofia, Bulgaria with Bulgarian Veselin Topalov (2783), 2005 European Champion Liviu-Dieter Nisipeanu of Romania (2689), World Junior Champion Shakriyar Mamedyarov of Azerbaijan (ELO 2754), former World Challenger Gata Kamsky of USA (2705), Michael Adams of England (2735) and the young Indian talent Krishnan Sasikiran (2700). The third M-Tel Masters with six of the strongest GM`s of the world started on May 9 in Sofia, Bulgaria. The Bulgarian fans of the ancient game as well as fans from all over the world will be able to watch live the Bulgarian Veselin Topalov (ELO 2783), the European Champion for 2005 Liviu-Dieter Nisipeanu from Romania (ELO 2689), the youth World Champion Shakriyar Mamedyarov from Azerbaijan (ELO 2754). The other participants are the former World Vice-Champions Gata Kamsky from USA (ELO 2705) and Michael Adams from England (ELO 2735), as well as the young Indian talent Krishnan Sasikiran (ELO 2700).

The famous Bulgarian cartoonist Ivaylo Ninov cartooned M-Tel Masters 2007. Today his exhibition of cartoons of the six GMs that participate in the third edition of the tournament – Veselin Topalov, Liviu-Dieter Nisipeanu, Shakhriyar Mamediyarov, Gata Kamsky and Krishnan Sasikiran. The cartoons can be seen in the restaurant “Shades of red” In Grand Hotel Sofia.
