Vietnam children won the overall trophy in the 8th ASEAN Youth Championships organized by the ASEAN Chess Confederation 13-22 June 2007 in Pattaya, Thailand. The developmental event saw hundreds of children from the Philippines, Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, Brunei and Thailand with guest players from Korea and India. Categories were under-8, 10, 12, 14, 16 and 18 for boys and girls. For parents, a new Seniors event was introduced. See photos.
