Chinese Taipei Holds First FIDE Rating Tournament Print

The Chinese Taipei Chess Association held its first FIDE Rating tournament under the guidance of FIDE General Secretary Ignatius Leong as Chief Arbiter. The Asia Dragons Invitational Chess Tournament was held 9-16 July 2007 at the National Sports Training Centre, Kaohsiung, Chinese Taipei. Chan Wei-Xuan Timothy of Singapore won the 12-player round robin with 10.5 points followed by Lee Kiyul of Korea with 8.5 points. Jung Ho Jin of Korea and Chan Wei-Yi Victoria of Singapore tied at 8 points each. .
