Tania Sachdev of India topped the Asian Women`s Championship with 6.5 points out of 9 rounds. She won by tie break over untitled Ruan Lufei of China who placed second followed by WGM Nguyen Thi Thanh An of Vietnam in third with 6 points. The top three qualify into the Women`s World Cup. Asian Chess Federation president Sheikh Sultan bin Khalifah Al Nahyan awarded prizes in the event organized by the Chess Federation of the Islamic Republic of Iran 2 to 12 September 2007 in Tehran.
